Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm back...let's see what's been going on. Well, gave the 'crafty' gifts and they were well received. Yea! Pics to follow. Took my first exam...made an A! Woo Hoo...great start to my 2nd semester. It's been very chilly (it IS winter!) so we haven't been out playing in the city as much as we would like, but I heard a rumor that spring is on the way...
Found a new addiction in FB's Cafe World. Farm Town ran its course with me...we'll see how long this one lasts. Also, we've started playing Little Big Planet. One of the most unique games I've ever seen...quite surreal at times. Enjoying it, but missing my R&C tons! Maybe Crack in Time will arrive in time for our birthdays...
We haven't labeled Liberty yet so the pics are of naked bottles (don't worry, they aren't modest). I tie-dyed a couple of tiny little shirts for Addison's 3rd birthday and then did two shirts and a scarf for me. My first attempt (since like Girl Scouts or something)...really enjoyed it and plan to do more. Found instructions online how to tie-dye a peace sign...that WILL be my next project. Too cool.
Used ceramic stucco mixed with paint to create a silly/fun birthday gift for Jan. She used it to make a painting for us for Christmas. Neat stuff...will definitely continue to use it. Need to do another in my Magic Mushroom series. That could work very well. Here are the pics...enjoy! And until next time, if you want someone to know something you have to TELL them. :)

Wednesday in the 'Noog

Good morning, Loyal Readers! It's a sunny 27 degrees here in Chattanooga, but our high today should be around 50. Beautiful day! Last night Lon and I bottled our newest creation, Liberty Shiraz. This morning 27 pretty little bottles are sitting on our table. They have to stand for 3 days before we can lay them on their sides in the wine rack. That's going to fill it for sure! :)
I'm finishing up a few gifts for some upcoming birthdays. I've become quite crafty lately...or at least that's what I tell myself. I can post pics once the gifts have been distributed. There is the ever-so-slight chance that one of the intended recipients MIGHT read my blog within the next few weeks. Doubtful, but possible. Big lead up, huh? Makes you wonder what my infinitely creative mind has come up with, doesn't it? Now you really want to check them out, don't you? BUT YOU CAN'T! Ha, ha, ha, ha...Even my blog has become craftier! Where will it end????
Sorry...mental vacation. Was that Bailey's or creamer I put in my coffee?
Will post pics of Liberty soon. Have to make the new labels next...
Happy Hump Day!

Somebody loves me!

Or at least my blog...thank you, Christine (from the award-winning blog at Type A Chronicles), for giving my silly little blog the 'When Life Hands You Lemons' award. I will treasure it dearly!
The rules for this award are simple:
Thank the giver of the award and link their blog.
List 5 things about yourself.
Link 5 new recipients and notify them. So......here we go! 5 things about me........
1. I am addicted to PS3. There. I said it. I am deeply in love with Ratchet and Clank and Lon IS aware. (I think he might even be a little addicted himself...) Looking forward to R&C Future: A Crack in Time and Little Big Planet.
2. I love science fiction. I'm a huge nerd and I'm okay with that. I can't wait for Eureka (SyFy channel) to start back this summer.
3. I know Christine because we were in boot camp, Corps school and Field Medicine Service School together in the Navy. We trained with Marines, punished our livers, flirted shamelessly, and had an all-around blast in San Diego. We even got thrown out of a gay bar...don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud about that one! Love ya, girl! :)
4. I'm a bleeding heart. I cry at those Folgers commercials where the dude comes home from the military and makes coffee on Christmas morning. I cry at sad movies (yes, even the animated ones), sad TV shows and sometimes even sappy Internet news links. However, I think it's funny when an obnoxious child falls and starts crying. Weird, huh?
5. I'm in school to become a nurse, but I would love to build on what little artistic talent I have and paint, sculpt and photograph the world as I see it. Beautiful and rare...to be enjoyed and cherished. Lon thinks being a nurse will open up my artistic side even more...we'll see.

I hereby bestow the following fantastic blogs with the coveted 'When Life Hands You Lemons' Award...
The Artistic Traveler, for going to amazing places, soaking up all that she can and sharing those experiences with us. Thanks, Jennifer!
Jennifer Prince Gallery. Yes, this is for the same Jennifer, but her artwork is beautiful and real (and I'm secretly jealous of her talent!!!) Can't wait to come see the studio...
Hatched, for her honesty and fabulous writing. Tina makes me laugh and always has...she's a wonderful writer and a good friend. She makes the mundane and weird funny and entertaining. Always looking forward to what's next...
Type A Chronicles. Yes, I know she gave the award to me, but she deserves another one. Not only for her adorable private blog of her super handsome kid, G-man, but for persevering in the face of great personal difficulties. She is strong, loving, hilarious and a beautiful person.
*I don't follow many blogs, so I only have 4 awards to give out...oh well. I think my four are as good as five!

A sincere, heart-felt thank you goes out to my 3-4 dedicated followers. You guys are the best!
